Show-and-Tell Contemporary

So, since I don't have any physical copies of contemporary Indie fiction, I went over to my blog and did a listing of my favorite digital reads. Click the pic below!

And now for our role call of contemporaries written by our Indie e-Con authors. Again, listing below isn't necessarily an endorsement, as I haven't read every single book by every author, but those I have read have been beautiful.

Mild caution for tastefully-handled drug use and child abuse

Mild caution for violence
Mild caution for blood/medical bluntness, as well as some crude humor

Mild caution for reference to suicide

  1. I'm surprised there aren't more books in this post, honestly . . . I feel like a lot of people would tend towards contemporary just because of the whole "write what you know" thing.

    1. Ah, yes, but also "Attract what you write," and I don't write contemporary...

    2. That is very true. And thank goodness, because if you did write contemporary, I probably wouldn't read your books. (No offense, but I like dragons better than drama. xD)

    3. I should dig "Dollhouse in the Attic" out... Also "The Prodigal Daughter"

    4. Sarah, have you tried A.J. Sky's StormBreathers series? It's dragons meets contemporary but without the angsty modern drama. :)
